Swedish Gambling Authority (Spelinspektionen)

Spelinspektionen is Sweden’s national gambling regulator, overseeing the licensed market created by the 2019 Gambling Act. It is one of the stricter national regimes in Europe: licensed operators must segregate player funds, connect players to the central Spelpaus self-exclusion register, enforce deposit and loss limits, follow strict marketing rules, and meet anti-money-laundering and duty-of-care obligations. Licences are publicly verifiable on the Spelinspektionen register, and the authority can fine or revoke operators that breach the rules.
